Ventura Surf is situated in the bay of Corralejo, in the north of Fuerteventura. In the summer, the wind is mainly blowing from the North (trade winds), with flat water in the bay and a superb swell near the island of Los Lobos. In the winter months the East and North East trades lock in, with a sheltered area on the inside and nice wave sailing near Rocky Point.
The channel between Los Lobos, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura accelerates the trade winds and the great choice of wind and sea conditions make the location possibly to one of the best windsurfing spots on the Canary Islands. The conditions suit every level of sailing, from beginner trough to slalom, freeride, freestyle and wave riding all in one area and in one day. The easy access in and out of sea makes the spot to a safety place for everybody. The centre is open all year round. There’s a rescue boat always at hand.
